  • Nicoletta Frescos is a lecturer in the Discipline of Podiatry at La Trobe University. Her recently completed PhD dissertation investigated the assessment and management of wound related pain in chronic lower limb wounds. Nicoletta has a keen research interest in Diabetic Foot Disease (DFD), wound-related pain and chronic lower limb wounds. She holds the position of Wound Clinical Trials Coordinator at Austin Health where she has undertaken RCTs on wound management studies. Nicoletta is also a health advisor to the Department of Veteran Affairs. Her passion for teaching and care of the diabetic foot has extended to being an Interplast Aust/NZ volunteer clinical educator on the prevention and management of DFD in the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Nauru. Furthermore she is the Australian representative for D-Foot International and a faculty member of the Asia Pacific Association of the Diabetes Limb Prevention.
