Ms Terrill is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She trained in Victoria and spent three years undertaking further training in the UK.
Since 1993, she has been a consultant Plastic Surgeon employed in both the public and private sectors. In public she is employed by the Peninsula Health Care Network, being Head of the Plastic Surgery Unit at Frankston Hospital. She has held this role since 1996 and developed the unit from 2 lonely surgeons, to a large unit now with 10 consultants and 6 registrars.
Over the last 25 years she has been involved in clinical and research work in Wound Management. She was a member of both the Wound Management Committee at Frankston Hospital and the Wound Education Advisory Committee for the Masters in Wound Care at Monash University. Clinically her work involves assessment and treatment of both acute and chronic wounds, along with reconstruction of complex defects. She has undertaken and published multiple trials, both clinical and laboratory based, looking into the efficacy and comparative benefits of different dressing products.
She has an active surgical practice with an interest in skin cancers and hand surgery, cosmetic breast and abdominal surgery and wound management.
