Frank is the current Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Flinders Medical Centre South Australia.
Frank has been nursing since 1997, where he first started in general medicine, but soon migrated to a position in the Hyperbaric Medicine Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he worked for 10 years. His time spent in this unit spawned a keen interest in wound healing and tissue viability.
In 2012 he left the Royal Adelaide Hospital to take up a nursing management role of surgical outpatients at Flinders Medical Centre, and in 2015 was appointed as Nurse Practitioner of Vascular Surgery.
Frank has been involved in a wide range of education activities, ranging from the RDNS wound management course through to facilitation of university graduate certificates and diploma’s.
Frank is a past president of AWMA(SA) – now known as Wounds Australia SA, and is a current committee member of the South Australian Society of Vascular Nursing.
Frank is the current President of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Nursing (ANZSVN).
Frank’s current career passion is focused on the adaptation of novel technologies in the field of wound healing.
