Anas Ababneh is a PhD candidate at the Queensland University of Technology. He has been awarded the Australian Government Research Training Program [RTP] Stipend for his high degree study. His PhD research is under the umbrella of chronic disease and aging theme, and includes understanding patients’ adherence to the treatments of chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers. Anas holds a Master of Science in Diabetic Podiatry from the National Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics (University of Jordan) and was a leader in their wound-care team. He has also completed the International Interprofessional Wounds Care Course (IIWCC) at the University of Toronto, and was a lecturer and clinical educator at the National Institute for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics (2009 – 2016). Anas completed his first undergraduate degree (BSc in Nursing) in 2006.
